157L Shepherds Hill Walking Shoes

Traditional Hill Shoes hand-made with, or without tongue overlay feature. Built on the fully sprung last for assistance when walking the hills and fells. Chestnut brown full grain leather with full bellows tongue to minimise water ingress. Triple leather sole finished with thin Indiana rubber forepart and heel.

The 157 Hill Shoes are best suited for walking and working on rugged terrains, rough and soft ground.

As standard, the 157L Hill Shoes specification is:

Leather: European veg tanned Chestnut brown (also available in brown smooth, see 157R)

Collar: Plain straight top, no collar

Tongue/Overlay: Full bellows tongue &  optional tongue overlay.  The shoes are produced with the tongue overlay unless specified otherwise at time of order

Thread: Dark brown

Eyelets: Antique brass

Toe: Polycarbonate reinforced toe-box

Last: 88 shape fully sprung last

Shank/Counter: Wooden shank, polycarbonate counter for extra rigidity at the heel

Sole finish: Triple leather sole finished with Indiana rubber forepart and heel

Laces: Brown leather

Can also be made with toe plates, heel plates and hobs (tackets).
