Constructed to comply with the requirements of EN ISO 20345:2011
2.1 Upper
Light tan print full apollo leather, blocked vamp. Pull-on loops.
2.2 Vamp Lining
Rot proof synthetic to BSEN 20344.
2.3 Quarter Lining
Padded collar Beige fur fabric to BS EN 20344.
2.4 Insole
2.75mm 'Texon' 480 cellulose to BSEN 20344.
2.5 Steel Toe Cap
200 Joules, to EN ISO 20345
2.6 Sole and Heel
Injected dual density polyurethane (ICI) To ENI SO 20344. Oil, acid, alkali and heat resistant to 130’C.
2.7 Penetration Resistant Midsole
Penetration resistant stainless steel to EN ISO 20345.
3. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Impact Resistance
When the boot is subjected to the 200 Joules impact test as specified in EN ISO 20345, the minimum clearance inside the steel cap area shall not be less than the appropriate value given in Table 6 of EN ISO 20345. (14mm for size 8).
3.2 Compression Resistance
When the footwear is tested in accordance with EN ISO 20345, the minimum clearance inside the steel cap area shall not be less than the appropriate value given in Table 6 of EN ISO 20345 (14mm for size 8 when subjected to 15,000 N.)
3.3 Penetration Resistant Midsole
When footwear is tested in accordance with the method described in clause 6.2 of EN ISO 20345, the force required to penetrate the sole unit shall not be less than 1100N.
